Facilities

Lovells Springs' manufacturing facilities in Newcastle, NSW include computer operated coilers, a powdercoat line, grinding and finishing facilities and a computer contolled cold coiler.

Lovells Springs is pleased to announce that a cold coiler has been commissioned. This machine will present further capacity to our capabilities up to 16 mm in cold formed springs. The machine has been computer controlled with electric motor adjusters thereby allowing the machine to change programs very quickly. This capacity gives Lovells the advantage to offer large number capacity at a price that is world competitive as labour cost is minimal.

Lateral Load Testing

Many clients do not currently require that springs should have identifcation of the lateral deflection under load. This requirement is common in the EEC as passenger trains operate at higher speeds than in Australia.

Lovells provided such identification for the Perth EMUs, in such a way that the identification will be there in 30 years of operation.
